At Duo we spend a lot of time searching the world wide web for free commercial fonts that will amp up our designs. Font choice plays a huge role in the overall success of a design–and around here, we like free. So we’ve done the work for you! Here are a few of our favorite free commercial fonts.
When in doubt, go Nexa. Clean typefaces like this one are great for any professional scene. It’s easy to read and well designed, people will look–and then keep looking. It’s what we do.
Yes, please! Pacifico rocks the fun vibe. We’d go to a party with this typeface on the invitation. We like the gender neutralness of this script font too, that can be hard to find.
We don’t do much raving here at Duo, but that’s not all this font is good for! Fonts with a lot of character are best used as display type–two to three words, tops. You don’t want it to compete with your design, but it will definitely set the stage for something great! It’s always good to draw people in with a little spice.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Black Jack. Â Finding a decent script font for free can be a stru-ggle. You can thank us for this one later. This is a well designed script that adds instant personality. You won’t regret it.
Mmmkay, Qarmic Sans, not to be confused with Comic Sans (which has it’s place…but mostly as the bane of any graphic designer’s existence). Qarmic is a great alternative! The handwritten feel spruces it up just enough to give it that “good design” feel.
